About this app
See everyone in the room at a glance, sorted by how much they have said, with message and word counts and each person's share of the conversation. Open anyone to browse their messages, images and files, and every change to their display name and avatar.
People reads only. It sends nothing to the room and has no server of its own. A widget cannot page back through history, so the numbers cover what your client has loaded, what arrives while the widget is open, and what your device saw before. The widget always says how many messages they are based on. Members, names, avatars and roles are always complete.
Works in encrypted rooms: your client hands the widget decrypted messages, and encrypted images and files are decrypted inside the widget. To fill in over time it keeps, on your device only, metadata the homeserver sees anyway (who sent a message, when, what kind, how many words), never the text or files.
Add to a room
Paste this into any room you may configure — Element and most clients understand /addwidget:
/addwidget https://marcade.store/apps/de.minagawa.people-list/0.1.1/Counts cover the part of the history your client has loaded; the widget says how much that is.
Rooms should pin the versioned URL above. https://marcade.store/apps/de.minagawa.people-list/latest/ always points at the newest release.
Name and icon in Element
/addwidget can carry only the URL: Element lists the app as “Custom” without an icon. Add the Marcade Store once per room and it gives every Marcade app pasted in there its name and icon, and tells you when an update is out.
/addwidget https://marcade.store/apps/de.minagawa.marcade-store/0.1.4/Permissions
