About this app
Propose dates, let everyone in the room mark the ones they can make, pick one. Two modes: a one-off event (a party, a workshop) with concrete dates, or a regular meeting with weekday and time slots every N weeks. Once a date is picked the widget shows the next date with a countdown and the upcoming meetings, and each member can mark the ones they can't come to.
Everything lives in room state (de.minagawa.meetrix.meeting and one
de.minagawa.meetrix.vote per member); there is no backend. Room state is
never encrypted, even in an encrypted room. Members need the power level to
send these two state event types (50 by default), so lower it for them if
everyone should vote.
For people whose app does not run widgets (Element X, other clients), a vote can also be posted as a native Matrix poll; answers there count in the widget, and picking a date closes the poll with the result.
Add to a room
Paste this into any room you may configure — Element and most clients understand /addwidget:
/addwidget https://meetrix.widgets.marcade.store/0.3.0/
Tip: append #/?matrix_user_id=$matrix_user_id to the URL so one person on two devices votes once. Without it, each browser votes separately.
Rooms should pin the versioned URL above. https://meetrix.widgets.marcade.store/latest/ always points at the newest release.
Name and icon in Element
/addwidget can carry only the URL: Element lists the app as “Custom” without an icon. Add the Marcade Store once per room and it gives every Marcade app pasted in there its name and icon, and tells you when an update is out.
/addwidget https://marcade.store/apps/de.minagawa.marcade-store/0.1.4/

What's new in 0.3.0
Pick the day in a calendar first, then tap the times that work. Options are kept when switching between one-off and regular. A vote can also be posted as a native Matrix poll for apps without widgets; answers there count in the widget.
